You call me out upon the waters...
...The great unknown where feet may fail
"Oceans" by Hillsong UNITED
Recently, I have been struggling to sleep. I have had a lot going on and find myself in many difficult situations. But despite that, I have tried to maintain a healthy sleep pattern. After all, I can't give if I have nothing to share. I have done everything from taking bubble baths to drinking warm milk, from getting into bed early to going to bed late. The one thing that seems to happen every time I feel tired, I close my eyes, and just like that my brain comes alive. Whizzing and whirring. Cluttered and noisy. But in the chaos of my mind, God breaks through. Some nights it is through a song, some nights it is through a bible verse. However He speaks, it is always the words I need to hear to ease my mind and help me get to sleep. Out of the chaos, He brings order. These little moments of God help me to keep the faith.
You see, life is a series of moments. Some good. Some bad. Many have gone before us and the path is worn and the road is long. Difficulty, pain, and suffering are always going to be a part of that journey. Until one day when we meet our Lord and Saviour. There will be days of doubt, of frustration, and of tragedy. But there will also be days of great joy, happiness and love. These are the moments we live for. So when the dark times come, remind yourself of your mission. Your dreams. Your purpose. Whatever you do - do not give up. Savour the moments of God and live to fight for Him. Through it all, He is there. Let go and let God.
In the eye of the storm You remain in control And in the middle of the war You guard my soul You alone are the anchor When my sails are torn Your love surrounds me In the eye of the storm
