 The Story

What impact will you have? It was from this simple question that Aspirational Living came together. You see, we know from the Bible that we all fall short of the glory of God. We know that through the death and resurrection of Christ we are brought closer to a relationship with God. We know that whilst this is the length and depth of God’s love, it is up to us to bridge that final gap. He wants a relationship with every single one of us. He is not interested in slaves. So, on this premise, Aspirational Living seeks to go deeper, acknowledging that we are far from perfect but not allowing our imperfection to prevent us from seeking, yearning for a relationship with God. In the Bible, we see many heroes of the gospel. But these were not perfect people, yet God still used them. He wants to take our brokenness and use it to build the kingdom of heaven. Aspirational Living is built on this question:

“Will you choose, on a daily basis, to seek, to yearn, to learn, and to grow more like the One who gave His all for you?”

The Vision

To create a hub of activity; supporting, encouraging and developing generous disciples who live with their sleeves rolled up – yearning for something greater.

The Mission

To make an impact in the world by supporting disciples, encouraging faith in action, and developing tools for the ministry opportunities in our everyday lives. Aspirational Living is a work in-progress that brings people together around Christ and a deep longing for more. To learn more, to develop more, to be more like Jesus Christ.

I am blessed to come from a family of four, and am currently studying for a degree in Human Resource Management. For me, God has always been a part of my life. I am a Salvationist, and am an active member of The Salvation Army. Despite this, it wasn't until I was about 14 that I truly began to explore faith for myself. After a particularly difficult period of my life, my faith began to really develop. My thirst for more was only met through deepening my faith.

Aspirational Living is part of a vision that God has laid on my heart. It was born out of the loss of my Grandma – a mighty woman of God who despite her small stature, had a massive impact on all the lives that were blessed enough to cross her path. She challenged me greatly – what impact will you have? So, join me as we delve deeper, allow for our faith to grow, and to do something about the calling we have received. Yearning for something greater.
