16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16 (NIV)

Joy to the world! We are here. We made it to Christmas day! Over the course of advent, we have journeyed towards the manger and now we find ourselves at the birth of Christ. Today, in the 'busy'ness of celebrations, take some time to reflect on all that has happened.

Reflect on the obedience of Mary, the courage of Joseph, the joy of the shepherds, the wisdom of the wise men, and the love shared by the angels. What a sight to behold. At the centre of it all - Jesus Christ. He is our Saviour.

Over the course of this blog, it has given me many opportunities to spread the word of God and help to share a bit of the real meaning of Christmas. It has also been a privilege to work with others and hear about the work of God in their lives. My talented brother has written a song about the first Christmas - He is our Saviour.

1. The donkey held

That scared womb

They travelled far

To Bethlehem

There was no room

Yet in a manger

Jesus was born

He is our Saviour

Chorus:

Little baby

Wrapped up in clothes

Laid in the hay

Born in a trough

The star that shone

Bright on that silent night

It led them all

To The Saviour

2. The shepherds saw

A sea of white

They were afraid

But held their fright

Their journey took

Them to the stable

Jesus was born

He is our Saviour

3. The wise men brought

Their gifts of three

Of frankincense

And gold and myrrh

They laid them down

Down at Gods own feet

Jesus was born

He is our Saviour

Take some time today to reflect on the words and how your advent season has been. I wonder, what you are doing to celebrate His birth? Do you allow Him to be your Saviour?

Reflect today: How has your advent season been? What have you done to spread the message of His birth? What could you do today and into the future to continue to spread the Love of Christmas.
