"17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them."

Luke 2:17-18 (NIV)

When was the last time you talked about your faith? I don't mean about what God did in your life years ago in a testimony time at Church. I mean when was the last time you spoke about what God is doing in your life with the people around you. Maybe family members, maybe friends or maybe even work colleagues. We have such great news to share!

As you are aware, I have a testimony of God's faithfulness and strength through the things that happened with my hip but that is not the end of my story. Our God isn't a one-time God. He works through our lives all the time. Just in the last few weeks, I have been in situations where I have been able to share my faith with other students at University. Also I been able to provide the comfort of Gods word in another situation I find myself in. In both, God using me as a vessel for His good news.

I wonder what it must have been like for the shepherds all those years ago? To witness such a great thing and just wanting to share it with everyone they came into contact with. I wonder if we have the same excitement to share the good news of Christ's birth?

Reflect today: Who can you share your story with today? How can you be living proof of the gospel and capture some of the excitement the shepherds had all those years ago? How can you take the excitement of Christmas into your everyday life?

Dear Lord,

Its not always easy to share your great news especially in a world that doesn't always want to listen. Please help me to share my story with those who do want to hear it and provide the comforting words I need to share when someone needs them. Please help me to be invigorated with excitement for you. So today I just ask that you open eyes and soften minds so that your will can be done.

Amen
