Caesura is a pause near the middle of a line
Merriam-Webster Dictionary
Writing this blog I have had to do a great deal of waiting.
In silence.
Listening.
Yearning for something more.
Something to write.
Something to say.
Something from Him.
But in the silence.
In His silence, there is a sound.
The sound of me – breathing.
Just breathing.
Nothing more.
Nothing less.
Just breathing.
In and out.
Outside the world races by,
cars coming and going,
people walking their dogs,
kids going to school,
parcels being delivered.
Yet, here in my room –
stillness.
Oneness.
Just Him,
And me.
His presence.
Just waiting too.
His love pouring out to me,
helping me,
refreshing me,
charging my soul.
And as I look towards the blank page,
He simply says: “Come”
The last few days have been a whirlwind. A roller coaster of emotions and never time to breathe. 'Caesura' is a pause in the middle. And so in the middle of the week, in the 'busy'ness of life - with all of the stress and worry, take some time and breathe. In the middle of your chaos, He is there. Be sure to take the time to just breathe – let Him in. Let Him wash over you. Take a break and just breathe.
'Caesura' is a pause in the middle and will be a series of Wednesday blog posts which aims to encourage you to take a pause in the week and seek God, see what He has done so far, and see what you can do with the rest of the week. If anything, it should be time away from the 'busy'ness of the week and dedicated time with your Lord and Saviour.
