Dear Friends,

As I am sure you will have noticed, I have had a bit of a break from writing on the blog.

To be honest, I have struggled to find the words. There seems to be so much going on in a world that is so still and quiet. My mind has been racing. But you see, it is through this, that God has taught me a valuable lesson – slow down. If the world can come to a standstill, so can your mind. You do not need the answers. You don’t need 1000’s of words. Stop telling me all the stuff you want to do for me. Let us just focus on one thing at a time. Let us take some time and pause.

For those of you who do not know me that well, let’s just say that it was not the most welcome thing I could be told. Over the last few weeks, following Easter, God has spoken to me in a new way and through the focused time of lockdown He has worked through me so that I am now in a place where I can ‘pick up the pen’ again.

For those of you wondering, ‘Disciplined Discipleship’ will continue, but not via the blog. Instead, in a few weeks, I will release all the teachings as a free resource on our resource page.

For now, here we will focus on the beautiful everyday nature found through living a life aspiring to be like Him.

Through this time, ‘Be still for the presence of the Lord’ has been on mind, so today, I share this wonderful arrangement with you.

Stay safe - keep yearning,

Josh

Be still, for the presence of the Lord, The holy One, is here; Come bow before him now With reverence and fear In him no sin is found We stand on holy ground. Be still, for the presence of the Lord, The holy One, is here.

Be still, for the glory of the Lord Is shining all around; He burns with holy fire, With splendour he is crowned: How awesome is the sight Our radiant king of light! Be still, for the glory of the Lord Is shining all around.

Be still, for the power of the Lord Is moving in this place: He comes to cleanse and heal, To minister his grace - No work too hard for him. In faith receive from him. Be still, for the power of the Lord Is moving in this place.
